In order to further promote the development of international students’ education in Shenyang University of Technology, expand the scale, raise the level, support and encourage more foreign students to study in our school, now we set up a series of international students’ scholarship management methods for the administration of Shenyang University of Technology, charged by International Students Office and Chinese Language Teaching Research Office of International Education School which are responsible for the specific implementation of the scholarship and daily management work. Now the scholarship award items are as stipulated as follows:

1. Scholarship Assessment Qualifications:

⑴ Absent less than 20 credit hours;

⑵ Pay tuition and accommodation in time;

⑶ Handle the registration form on time;

⑷ The academic records are outstanding, can play a better role in the class;

⑸ Take an active part in all kinds of activities organized by the university.

2. Scholarship Assessment Methods:

⑴ recommended by the teacher, at least three teachers check the qualification, students who are eligible can join the assessment;

⑵ According to the final exams scores comparison in all the subjects, if one score is below the requirement, will drop a level;

⑶ Students who take the second examination will be dropped a level;

⑷ Students who are the student union or monitor can have appropriately flexibly policy in the assessment.

3. Conditions to Obtain Scholarship:

⑴ Diploma Students Scholarship:

① Special grade scholarships: every subject is higher than 95 points (including) in every semester, good performance in learning and activities, can be awarded special grade scholarship 1500 Yuan - 2000 Yuan, the proportion is 0.5% of the total number of students;

② First-class scholarships: every subject is higher than 95 points (including) in every semester, can be awarded first-class scholarship 1000 Yuan, the proportion is 5% of the total number of students;

③ Second-class scholarships: every subject is higher than 90 points (including) in every semester, can be awarded second-class scholarship 500 Yuan, the proportion is 10% of the total number of students;

④ Third-class scholarships: every subject is higher than 85 points (including) in every semester, can be awarded third-class scholarship 300 Yuan, the proportion is 20% of the total number of students;

These scholarships above can’t be gained simultaneously.

⑵ Non-Diploma Students Scholarship:

① Special grade scholarships: every subject is higher than 95 points (including) in every semester, good performance in learning and activities, can be awarded special grade scholarship 1000 Yuan;

② First-class scholarships: every subject is higher than 95 points (including) in every semester, can be awarded first-class scholarship 500 Yuan;

③ Second-class scholarships: every subject is higher than 90 points (including) in every semester, can be awarded second-class scholarship 300 Yuan;

④ Third-class scholarships: every subject is higher than 85 points (including) in every semester, can be awarded third-class scholarship 200 Yuan;

These scholarships above can’t be gained simultaneously.

⑶ Other Scholarships:

① Award for outstanding students: initiative to do class works during one semester, actively participate in various activities, well-behaved, nominated by the teacher in charge, confirmed through the university that can be awarded “outstanding student award”, the prize is 300 Yuan RMB, this award can be gained simultaneously with the above awards;

② Award for outstanding students cadres: choose from the monitors and students union cadres, the prize is 200 Yuan - 300 Yuan, this award can be gained simultaneously with the above awards;

③ Award for excellent graduates: the fresh graduate students whose performance is outstanding at school, with excellent transcripts, nominated by the teacher in charge, confirmed through the university that can be awarded “outstanding graduates award”, the prize is 500 Yuan RMB;

④ Students who win all kinds of competitions of city level can be awarded 300 Yuan one time, provincial level is 500 Yuan one time, national level is 1000 Yuan one time.

⑤ Award for study progress: students who have a big progress on study in a semester, change obviously on learning attitude, can get prize 200 Yuan;

Each semester scholarships can be assessed on the basis of the condition of the students, such as this semester all students’ overall exams scores are low, can be reduced a level. Scholarship results can be published more than three days, in the next semester students’ certificate and scholarship can be issued by the college when they have social practice.

These regulations shall be executed from now on.
